After more than three years in the city, I wanted to write my guide about Miami. A lot of you have been requesting it and I want to make this my final free guide for any given city. Given that I have spent more time gaming in Miami than any other city in the US, I thought it made perfect sense to make this my last guide which you can see for free. Even in the short time I have been in Miami, the game has changed a lot.
Given the amount of traveling I have done this year, last time I consistently gamed in Miami was May of this year.
The general scene.
Compared to my time in NYC, I fully believe that Miami is a more competitive and difficult city. All that being said, I also find Miami rewarding and enjoy life here. I find that the women here are some of the most attractive in the country. For all the backlash that the Miami culture gets, I rather be here than some hick city in the Bible Belt where people get married before 30 and shame you for premarital sex.
Ideally, the best time to come to Miami is from January to April. Summers are too hot for there to be much. Fall tends to be relatively slow although from Halloween to December you have some great things going on.
If you are a Miami local reading this, feel free to comment and add.
Ideal approach.
Ideally, you want to approach Miami nightlife in this way.
Get there EARLY, no later than 10 PM for most venues to avoid the long lines
For prime venues like LIV, buy tickets in advance
Get going as soon as you get there, almost all pulls I have had have been from women I met before midnight. Do not be one of those guys spamming well after midnight. Exceptions to this rule are nightclubs like LIV.
Do not discount street game if you are in Wynnwood or Brickell, often times, this beats most of the venues. Better to head into a venue with women you met doing street game than solo.
Save your PUA spam game for the nightclubs, in all other places, it will make you stick out like a sore thumb.
Now for the guide.
Nightgame.
Depending on how you approach it, Miami nightgame can either be the most fun type of nightgame out there or it can be the most underwhelming. Initially, I found Miami nightgame to be a bit underwhelming and overrated. What I realized was that it is all about finding the right kinds of venues if you want quality. Most PUAs either spam approach all over Wynnwood or they are at Regatta (formerly The Wharf), every Friday.
In order to truly enjoy Miami nightlife, you will have to lose some of your PUA spam approacher antics and shift to being more of a natural that gives value. Here are a few Miami venues I have frequently nightgamed in, the neighborhood they are in put in parenthesis, ideal day(s) to go to them, as well as my thoughts on them.
The reality is that unless you are friends with locals and naturals, you would not have heard of half of these venues. Your typical PUA guys would not be able to get in at some of them or stick out like a sore thumb in the worst of ways.
LIV (Miami Beach) - Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday.
Go to their website to purchase tickets in advance as entry the day of gets quite expensive. LIV is, for all intents and purposes, the king of Miami nightlife. Tourists and everyone you know has been to LIV. The line is also quite idiotic as a bunch of guys in a suit and one elderly woman attempt to be “pickers”. Ignore this and just find the line and have your ticket ready.
LIV is Miami’s nightlife king when it comes to venues but at the same time, it also embodies some of the worst parts of Miami culture. The line itself has “pickers” who are basically useless and not even needed if you bought tickets. The venue also hosts the most popular musicians worldwide which is its selling point. By the way, that Vodka Soda in a plastic cup? $30 bucks!
At LIV, the goal becomes volume game. The dance floor itself is somewhat VIP but upstairs and in the downstairs bar is where you want to do your approaches. Prepare for rejection and bad attitudes since it is a nightclub. However, if you do the numbers game enough, you will find a receptive set. More importantly, bring ear plugs as it gets loud.
Mangos (Miami Beach).
I have only spoken to guys who have been to Mangos and been there myself a handful of times. The vibe is thirsty guys and a lot of older women. A LIV alternative to Miami Beach if you want a different kind of nightlife but get ready to see guys pouncing on available women that walk in here.
Regatta (Coconut Grove) - Friday
If you are anywhere on a Friday night, it is Regatta or as some know of it, the New Wharf. Regatta is a replace to The Wharf and located in Coconut Grove. On a Friday night, it is usually one of the most packed venues in Miami but on a Saturday, it is underwhelming. Most people treat it as a pre-game venue where they start the night off at before heading off to another venue like LIV, E11EVEN, Space, or somewhere more exclusive.
Regatta consists mainly of locals and U Of Miami cliques. The latter are arguably some of the toughest to speak to and sometimes, hostile. If you are good at dealing with bratty sorority girls, well have at it. So far, I can confidently say that less 10% of guys I have gamed with who are from the game community get any sort of traction with these sorts of women.
Come at around 10 PM or so and the venue will start to slowly fill up. Women will also be a lot nicer and more receptive. Every time I have pulled from here, it has been because I came early. Come later and you will notice, right as you approach midnight, that female attitudes get hostile.
The area towards the back of the venue where you can see the boats in the distance is generally the best area to approach in. The area where the food stands and ping pong tables are at is the most cliquish, often consisting of college cliques from The U. If you have the game for it, I say go for it but for most of you, it will be an uphill battle.
I am not a fan of approaching inside the venue as it gets loud. The area near the bathrooms is also not great for approaches.
Blackbird (Brickell) - Tuesday
Entry is $20 on a Tuesday, the main day where it is good.
By far the most hostile venue in all of Miami. If you want to deal with piss poor female attitudes and inflated egos, here it is. The quality is also not that great but on a Tuesday, it is one of the few Miami venues that is popping due to it being Ladies Night. As bad as it may be, I did get a makeout with a gorgeous brunette who was visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, she was far too drunk for me to take home.
I find that the bar area is the most fruitful for approaching while the dance room in the back is a waste of time. I’ve also seen a number of fights break out at this venue since a ton of guys in it are on the prowl.
Sugar/Tea Room (Brickell) - Friday and Saturday.
I have never been a big fan of these venues. I find that it is entirely too loud to hear, lots of tables, and the women are prototypical clout-chasing Brickell girls. You can find a set or two towards the outdoor rooftop but you will be left approaching in lanes where you are in everyone’s way. Never been a fan of this place.
Space (Downtown)
I am not mentioning it much because it was set to shut down this summer for renovations. When I did go, it was the main tourist attraction. A lot of EDM music being played. I found the vibe nicer than the vibe at LIV in terms of the attitude of the staff. However, it goes all the way until next morning for a party so plan accordingly.
Tipsy Flamingo (Downtown).
I’ve only been a couple of times but two guys I gamed with frequently in Miami only have good things to say about it. It can be a hit or miss but when it is good, it is real good. It goes back to what I have heard from my friends living in downtown, the bars downtown are great at the end of the night as they are full of girls who did not get closed at the clubs earlier in the night.
Dirty Rabbit (Wynnwood) - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (sometimes Sunday too from what they say).
Entry is $20, cash only.
In my opinion, really the only Wynnwood venue worth doing game in. A few of my friends have told me that certain outdoor bars have made a come back in Wynnwood this year. I found that the staff is quite kind but I have also heard that there is a likelihood this place, along with other Wynnwood nightlife venues, closes by end of this year.
You want to game more inside the bar or around where the exit is. Outside of that, you are dealing with a ton of tables outside.
Be careful in Wynnwood as ending up on the wrong street can get you robbed. Stay where all the bars and venues are and do not wander off from that.
1800 Luckys and Gramps (Wynwood) - Friday and Saturday with a Sunday wild card.
I have found that these places can be decent for game but underwhelming compared to Dirty Rabbit. If I had to pick my alternative and could not get into Dirty Rabbit, it be one of these venues. Gramps is across the street from Dirty Rabbit and I have heard that it can be great on a Sunday.
One takeaway I have had with Wynnwood is that once you get outside of Dirty Rabbit, the quality goes down by a lot.
Socialista (Brickell) - Friday and Saturday (TOUGH DOOR).
So here is the deal with Socialista. In terms of quality, I cannot think of any venue in Miami that beats it. Socialista and La Victoria (in downtown) have some of the hottest girls in them compared to any other venue I can think of. However, entry to the door is tough. The bouncers can sniff a PUA from a mile away and your typical game dork will not get in.
My advice for here is dress well, have your looks on point, come early enough, and even bring a girl with you if you can. The door gets picky and it is tougher for guys to get in than girls. If you can get in though, this place has some of the best women that Miami has to offer. In my opinion, it washes and completely stomps on any other Miami venue I have gamed at but you do need to look the part.
The typical spam approach PUA will do poorly here. I do not recommend any PUA guys or game newbies come here. The venue is ideal for guys with above average social skills who can read a room well.
Barracuda (Coconut Grove) - Thursday (TOUGH ENVIRONMENT with above average wing needed).
So Barracuda is kind of a hidden gem at first but then you realize that it is probably one of the toughest venues you will ever game in. Barracuda, especially the area outside of it, is where all the college kids gather on a Thursday. The volume is high but the environment requires advanced game and a top notch wingman, you need both.
The environment is cliquish and every set you have will get broken up within minutes. Why? Well just as you are doing well with a girl, some random group or random girl from her class will break right into your set and they will jump around like cheerleaders because they just saw their friend again after hours.
I tried to do Barracuda but really only succeeded when I had a friend who was a natural work with me. Outside of that, Barracuda is a ruthlessly difficult environment that most guys would get chewed up and spit out alive in. If you are in the game community, I recommend skipping on it. If you are more of a natural that can click well with people and has a lot of charisma and swagger, then this place has decent quality.
Do avoid Sandbar next door at all costs as they seem to let girls under the age of 21 come in and drink. Last thing you want to be doing is gaming 19 and 20 year olds as a guy in his 30s.
Honorable (and not so honorable) mentions.
A few venues I will give honorable mentions to.
La Victoria (high quality but really tough door)
The Sylvester (Brickell cocktail bar that girls talk highly about)
Sweet Caroline (karaoke bar)
Swan (great for Monday but tough entry and a bougee crowd)
Flannigans (no I am kidding, it just gets hyped by every South Florida local when it is just a chain Irish bar)
Bodega (awful and not worth the entry)
Vendome (all tables and slimey promoters)
Alternatives to venues.
If you are someone who can cold approach well, I recommend that a good alternative to actually going to the venues is to do street game. In Wynnwood, this is quite fruitful. In Brickell, this can work around Mary Brickell Village. In Miami Beach, I have known guys to do beach game even at nights to some success.
Night by night breakdown.
If I was to break it all down by night, here is how I would do it.
Monday.
Swan is a venue, where if you get a reservation, you can check out. You can also check out Wynnwood for some game earlier in the night as well as the Brickell City Center. However, as anywhere else, Monday nights are not ideal nights for game.
Tuesday.
I have known guys who enjoy street game in Mary Brickell on Tuesdays, you can even find some PUAs and influencers doing videos and street interviews. Mary Brickell will have some opportunities for you. Then if you are down for a challenge, consider Blackbird. On some nights, I was shocked at how good Wynnwood was for nightgame on Tuesdays.
Wednesday.
Wednesday is sort of that awkward day for game in Miami. Some say Komodo can be great but it closes at 11. I’d still stick with Mary Brickell for earlier in the night to do some street game. At some points, I have seen Wynnwood become good for game because a Happy Hour event is pouring over to some of the venues. If you wander around Wynnwood within a safe area, you will find something.
Thursday.
If you have the courage for it and a great wingman, check out Barracuda. However, for most of you, it’s Wynnwood all the way. Go to Dirty Rabbit and if that is empty, head over to Tipsy Flamingo. Avoid Regatta as it is a ghost town on this night. Wynnwood is more grungey but you are likely to find DTF girls while Brickell is classier with a tougher crowd.
Friday.
If you can pull of a high class look and behavior, Socialista. Hands down the best venue in all of Miami in terms of quality of the women. If not, Regatta and get there early (no later than 10 PM). You have a lot of options as Fridays in Miami are primetime. Almost any venue will do and it is a great night to try out LIV. Every place is doing well, just pick a spot and stick it out.
Saturday.
I would go with LIV and Socialista, avoid Regatta at all costs. If you are visiting, purchase tickets for LIV on a Saturday. Your next best option is Dirty Rabbit in Wynnwood. Advice is get there early, no later than 10 PM, or you will deal with extremely long lines that move slow. Saturdays are slightly worse than Fridays though.
Sunday.
Wynnwood is your best bet, check out Luckys and Gramps. I have not heard of any other venues or places being prime for this day.
